Emirates Dubai 7s has various programs that make up part of our Legacy program away from the bright lights of Pitch 1.
Youth Sport
A once in a lifetime chance for kids to play their way to compete in the Emirates Dubai 7s at the end of the year.
The Emirates Dubai 7s Youth Sports Festival takes place in the weeks leading up to the Dubai 7s, and celebrates the amazing young athletes that make up the UAE Sporting landscape.
Hundreds of children will compete in Rugby, Cricket and Netball over 2 magnificent evenings under lights with thousands of spectators in attendance and the Finalists of each age group event will fulfil their dream of playing for the Cup at The Emirates Dubai 7s. Get down to The Sevens Stadium for great music, food and drinks and no shortage of incredible talent from the UAE’s next generation of amazing athletes!
Long Lunch
The Long Lunch is one of the Emirates Dubai 7s highly anticipated annual charity event. The event combines a premium lunch experience with amazing entertainment with a major focus on raising money for dedicated Emirates Dubai 7s CSR programmes.
Every year, the lunch will invite guest speakers, including sporting legends from all around the world, to entertain guests with stories about their careers and anecdotes about the different characters and experiences they have encountered across their professional careers on and off the rugby pitch.
In 2024, the Long Lunch raised over AED 580k for the Dubai 7s For Good programme which will go towards building community infrastructure at North Road Primary School, Uganda.
2024's special guest speakers were ex-rugby players Australia's Matt Giteau and England's Will Greenwood.
Dubai 7s for good
The ‘Dubai 7s For Good’ - Emirates Dubai 7s CSR program, in partnership with Impact Adventures allows us to ensure the contribution we receive from the Long Lunch is purpose driven and has a long lasting effect.
We are working with North Road Primary School in Mbale, Uganda across 5 key areas:
- Coaching children and training adults
- Empowering communities
- Cultural Exchanges
- Education and infrastructure
- Linking rugby to health and prosperity
